12/25 NO ACTIVITY - MERRY CHRISTMAS!
(for children ages 8-11 in 2025)
We are eager to support families as they guide their children in their home-centered, personal development centered in Jesus Christ!
With Jesus Christ as our focus, the Holy Ghost will inspire us as parents and families in a balanced approach to growth in all aspects of our lives (intellectual, spiritual, physical, social and more).
Our children and community can thrive when we share our gifts, grow together, and support each other through inspired ministering and genuine care.
We as parents can model to our children that growth is an iterative process patterned after how "Christ grew in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man." (Flexibility!)
We will help children share and develop their interests and gifts through both activities and lessons; connect more with parents to reinforce home centered teaching and share resources; and minister and care for the kids in creative ways shared today. Keep those comments and creative ideas coming, you know your kids best!
We invite you to continue the cycle of growth regularly:
Reflect. Discuss with your child the Children and Youth Guidebook as a pattern for progress.
Discover. Commit yourself to setting goals in the 4 areas along with your family, to set an example of continually growing in areas of both strength and weakness (eternal progression, right?).
Plan. Create a plan for working on and following up on your goals as a family. Be flexible and adjust!
Act. Engage others in supporting your family goals, and support others by sharing your unique gifts.
Repeat!
Tip: Print out the worksheet below to help your child review their Strengths, Goals and progress!
To support what you do at home, ask your children: What would be most helpful from your parents? From your leaders? Who else can help you? How can we support each other as a community?
